Continue.dev

Continue is an open-source AI coding assistant for VS Code and JetBrains. It supports chat, inline edits, and tab autocomplete via Anthropic.

Installation

Install the Continue extension from the VS Code Marketplace or JetBrains Marketplace, then open .continue/config.json in your home directory.

Configure .continue/config.json

Add an Anthropic model entry with your API key and custom base URL:

To use tab autocomplete, add a tabAutocompleteModel entry (Claude Haiku is recommended for speed):
